discovery channel

i was about to go to sleep last night, and as usual, left the T.V. on. like one of the many nights, i went to bed with my contact lenses on. while i flipped through the channel to the discovery channel, i saw a guy not unlike steve irwin going on about a desert lizard. as he was holding the lizard, he explains that if he let it go, it would try to hide itself by digging into the sand and disappear. then he let the thing go while it try to hid itself into the desert sand. the guy try to catch it again, and succeed. again, he describes the characteristics and its other behaviors. then all of a sudden, while the camera was zooming on its head, the guy cut its head with his knife! i was in shock... not only that, he then took a big bite out of its body and saying the head doesn't tastes so good. then he ate the whole thing. the whole time, i was pretty much now awake and in awe at what i just saw.

as it turns out, it's a 'survival guide' show called "man vs. wild" about how to survive. this particular episode was about how to survive in the desert. as i now wide awake, i watched the whole thing to the end of it. pretty interesting show. then i thought to myself... when will i ever get lost in a desert.............


plus, during the commercials, the discovery channel is promoting a new program, throughout which, it had errie music and small childing singing in high pitched voice. very spooky! (maybe this is part of the reason i'm wide awake, hahaha)
